Andrea Battles de Young

Growing up in this small town, I developed a respect for the thriving community. Adding to the growth soon became an interest of mine.

Starting out in marketing, and graduating with an Associates Degree in 2011, led me to an opportunity that would change my path. In 2012, an employment offer from MainStreet Tax Solutions was presented. After working with the company as support for the tax software, I quickly took interest in tax law. Assisting preparers with questions opened up an area of interest that I decided to pursue. I went on to obtain an Associates Degree in Accounting; completing it in 2013. I continued working closely with the preparers as I furthered my practical training.
Staying with the company proved fruitful as they founded a tax prep company alongside the software support that they had been providing previously. A position as a preparer came my way around the open of tax season in 2015, and I accepted with excitement and gratitude. This same tax company is what has grown into My Hometown Tax as you see it today.
In the past nine years, my love for tax law has continued to grow. I take great pleasure in being able to sit with my clients, and not only file their taxes, but to help them feel comfortable through knowledge about their personal tax situations. Pride knowing that I serve my community well is what I carry with me daily.
